This is a book about love. There are different kinds of love,love of parents,love of husband/wife and love of children and that is what this book is about.

Most of this book is about women and how they only have any power inside their homes it also about their loves.

I particularly enjoyed the parts about what happens to the spirit when someone’s dies and passes to the spirit world.

An all round enjoyable book but not quite as good as Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.
