4th November 2018

The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan, set in the Scottish Highlands, a heartwarming tale of family and Christmas….

It’s not what’s under the Christmas tree, but who’s around it that matters most.

All Suzanne McBride wants for Christmas is her three daughters happy and at home. But when sisters Posy, Hannah and Beth return to their family home in the Scottish Highlands, old tensions and buried secrets start bubbling to the surface.

Suzanne is determined to create the perfect family Christmas, but the McBrides must all face the past and address some home truths before they can celebrate together . . .

Be in with a chance of winning one of three copies of this wonderful novel:

Just tell us in the comments below where you would like to spend your ideal Christmas! Do this by midnight on Saturday, 17th November and the first three names out of the hat will each be sent a copy of the book by the publisher.

Family means the world to me and living in a different city to them makes this time of year super special. My ideal christmas would be with them, sat around the table, taking the mic out of each other and eating more than our bodies can physically digest! My happy christmas place is right there!

I’d love to have christmas somewhere really snowy where i could build a snowman right outside the window/Somewhere they have big snowy pines that we can go for walks through.A log cabin would be cool with lots of christmas lights around it.log fires.a big christmas tree and room for all the family.
Also i’d love to have the place surrounded with wildlife like deer, raccoons, porcupines and other beautiful creatures to watch.

My ideal Christmas would be with my hubby and family all at home together … lovely dinner and family time… without anyone being called on duty . But being military family we don’t always know. All the best plans get changed, so yes my perfect Christmas would be the stability and confirmation that it could happen . I don’t mind the where or the weather just family time all together .

  50. My ideal xmas would be spent with my family, all 7 grandchildren,my 2 daughters and their husbands, and my son and daughter in law. We would be holed up in a cottage high up on the mountains. Surrounded by snow, and kept warm with log fires crackling with fir cones . A christmas tree stands proudly in the corner , piled high with gifts waiting to be unwrapped and anticipation hovers in the air – xmas is about to begin.!!!

There’d be a huge roaring fire and I’d be sat, cat on my knees which would be covered by the softest, fluffiest blanket, in a deep window seat reading a book whilst sipping a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows of course.

My ideal Christmas location is Ambleside in the Lake District. My great-aunt lives there alone at 91, very independent and loved. Her home looks over mountains and often has ‘bambi’ wandering up to the living room window. It is breathtakingly picturesque. It would be snowing. The log fire on. My family all sipping mulled wine and nibbling cheese and crackers.

I would love to spend Christmas in a cosy cottage by the sea in Cornwall, with a good book in front of a roaring fire and lovely brisk walks on the beach

In a Scottish castle, by a big log fire, and a blanket. Sipping Baileys and reading a Christmas book

Our ideal Christmas Day is where we spend the day every year at our younger daughter’s home. She & her husband host a wonderful day for three generations of three families…just perfect!

In a hermit cottage in the middle of nowhere, preferably open countryside, with plenty of excellent fine food and plenty of books! No company needed!
