GIVEAWAY: 3 copies of Your Still Beating Heart by Tyler Keevil – PRAGUE

11th October 2020

We are delighted to be able to offer you three copies of Your Still Beating Heart by Tyler Keevil as your giveaway this week – thriller set mainly in PRAGUE.

Are you in need of a heart-stopping thriller to take your mind away from weighty world issues?

Your Still Beating Heart by Tyler Keevil

All it takes to change your life is a single moment.

A random stabbing on a London bus leaves a young woman widowed and detached from her previous world.

Stripped of a future that should have been hers, she impulsively books a trip to Prague – the city where she and her husband got engaged. But in the midst of a bleak winter, isolated and numb, she can do little more than wander the cobbled streets – until she receives an intriguing proposition. There’s a job for someone just like her. All she needs to do is pick something up, and drive back. Just once. Only ever once.

Stylish and daring, this high-stakes thriller explores what happens when a curve ball skews life out of all recognition.

— Your Still Beating Heart has an intriguing structure with the changing tone, a page-turning plot and beautiful language that taps directly into the emotions. Keevil has created something very special with this novel (Louise Fairburn, Amazon Reviewer) —

I’ve just finished reading “The Missing” by C.L. Taylor. I raced through it as I needed to know what had happened. I thought I knew, but then something made me change my mind- more than once!

Your Still Beating Heart sounds intriguing.
I am reading Dead in Devon by Stephanie Austin at present. A really good mystery set in Ashburton in Devon. Anyone familiar with Ashburton will love it. Full of places and landmarks that are real.

A fabulous book that has brought me the smells of delicious fresh bread & regional delights. Not able to drive across France this year, this is an excellent substitute.

I am reading ‘House of Music’ by Kadie Kanneh-Mason. A lovely read about how her 7 children grew to be the amazing musicians they are!
Not too strong on location so far, apart from some nice descriptions of the atmosphere of Sierra Leone, prior to the civil war there.

I’ve been reading Expectation by Anna Hope. It’s a contemporary fiction book set in and around London but I wouldn’t say it’s particularly strong on setting. I usually read crime fiction and thrillers so it’s a little different to my usual genres.

I hope this is the right place to enter the giveaway! I’m reading Wakenhyrst by Michelle Paver. It’s a psychological thriller set in the Suffolk fenlands. The area is brilliantly evoked and there’s lots about the local folklore and superstitions.

I’m actually reading a NF – Public Schools and the Second World War by David Walsh and Anthony Seldon. But the fiction before this was Sara Holland’s Havenfall. Young Adult fantasy. The setting was mainly in an inn so not much to say there!
