I was told that your romantic novelist name is your middle name and the name of the street you grew up on, which for me is Elizabeth Moorland. I think she’d make a great English Detective!

My investigating detective would be called Rendava Corbett. Her name should have been Brenda Ava but her illiterate and drunken father spelt it wrong when he registered it. However she used it to her benefit and used both names in her working life.

My detective heroine would be named Jenni Swift. She would have the curiosity, speed and mental agility of a bird but would be often underestimated or even dismissed as trivial by criminals and colleagues alike.
