Haven’t been to Mallorca (yet!). I do recommend a visit to Cap de Formentor, basically the Land’s End of Majorca, if you hop across to the next island.

Pollensa is a very pretty town which has a really good Sunday market in the main square.

The return train trip from Palma to Soller makes for a great day out. There is a free art museum at Soller Station which has some lovely Picasso ceramics and Joan Miro prints.

there is a pearl factory in mallorca which is interesting but one of my favourite places is a factory next door which makes items with a lot of olive wood and other woods – there are some brilliant things to buy but it is interesting to watch people work? It’s more off the beaten tourist track than other places so it is good to spend a more quieter day here

I cannot recommend a place to visit on the island as I’ve not been there, but I can recommend a drink that is made on the island.
A friend brought me back a bottle of Palo de Mallorca which if I remember correctly had a very nice caramel flavour. Seek it out if you should ever visit.
