Giveaway – come with us to Mallorca.
I don’t know about you but I novel with a bit of sunshine in it, wouldn’t come amiss. So, we are delighted to have got together with Anna Nicholas and be able to offer you 3 copies of her latest cozy crime novel “Peacocks in Paradise”
Open UK and EU.
Peacocks in Paradise
The long-awaited seventh title in Anna Nicholas’s humorous travel series about how to live the dream in a Mediterranean country. The author explores different local cultural themes in each title. Anna delves into the island’s authentic heartland, exploring nature reserves, bird sanctuaries and paprika, fruit and almond farms. On her travels, she meets the makers of siurell whistles, palm leaf baskets, hot sauces and ensaimada pastries, and revels in visiting local producers of wine, craft beer, gin and brandy – and Mallorca’s famed herbes liqueur. Meanwhile, she and chum, Alison, are tackling all 54 Tramuntana peaks over 1,000m, enduring the arduous overnight Guell hike to Lluc Monastery along the way.

Santanyi Market is a twice weekly market held in this little Southern town. A wonderful selection of stall selling wine, fruit, vegetables and handicrafts. Well worth a visit !
I visited Mallorca twice some years ago. My favourite place is Drach Caves in Monte Cristo.
Haven’t been to Mallorca (yet!). I do recommend a visit to Cap de Formentor, basically the Land’s End of Majorca, if you hop across to the next island.
I’ve never visited as I can’t fly but I love reading the comments of those who have been and enjoy reading books set in places that sound very appealing.
i wish i had some recommendation but i havent been. hopefully one day i can go
I’ve never been to Mallorca so don’t know what is there. It does look like an interesting place.
ive never visited but maybe will one day
My first holiday abroad was to Cala Bona
I haven’t been but would love to go and then I’ll let you know! 🙂
Cala d’Or is a pretty place to stay
i havent been 🙁
I’ve never been, but it’s somewhere I’d love to visit with my family xx
Puerta Pollensa is my fave place in Mallorca, the Passeig Vora Mar with its tree-line walks, restaurants and bars is beautiful, as is the Boquer Valley.
It’s been a long time since I went but I loved visiting Palma. We also loved the beach at Sa Coma
Pollensa is a very pretty town which has a really good Sunday market in the main square.
The return train trip from Palma to Soller makes for a great day out. There is a free art museum at Soller Station which has some lovely Picasso ceramics and Joan Miro prints.
ive never been but plan on it in the future
The Caves of Crash are wonderful I visited them for the first time as a teenager in my first trip abroad and have visited several times since then
Get me outta here I need some paradise Now
I last went to Mallorca 48 years ago and haven’t been able to fly since, as it was an awful flight back. So I can only go back there by reading wonderful books.
I have never been to Mallorca like many others- we tend to holiday in the UK rather than fly abroad.
I don’t have any tips or advice as I’ve never visited Mallorca.
I have never visited but am interested to read comments by others.
Never been, tis on the bucket list!
Never been but would love to read the book and dream!
I have never been to Mallorca. If I went I would want recommendations away from the touristy resorts and I’m sure I would want to try the food!
Cala d’Or is beautiful. Would love to visit again one day.
Happy childhood memories at Cala Mesquida. Would love to go back.
We had a lovely family holiday to Mallorca a few years ago. We enjoyed lots of different sights, including the giant floating tap at Cala Galdana!
The Cuevas del Drach caves are worth a visit definitely.
I’ve never been, but I’m sure its lovely – the book would give me a taste of a visit to come.
Palma for culture, Arenal for party, Soller for peace. The train trip from Palma to Soller is lovely.
I love the Caves of Drach – so beautiful.
I haven’t been in Mallorca yet, but would love to go there one day.
Palma is beautiful and a lovely place to visit
Find a little bar/restaurant away from all the hustle and bustle and eat like a local.
there is a pearl factory in mallorca which is interesting but one of my favourite places is a factory next door which makes items with a lot of olive wood and other woods – there are some brilliant things to buy but it is interesting to watch people work? It’s more off the beaten tourist track than other places so it is good to spend a more quieter day here
i haven’t been but would love to go 🙂
Never been, but it’s near the top of my list!
The train from Palma to Soller is amazing, winding through the mountains and tunnels – really memorable
I’ve never been so I don’t have any tips but would love to go!
So many beautiful places on mallorca – plai de cruz – tranquillity peace sunshine everything I need for a refreshing holiday
I cannot recommend a place to visit on the island as I’ve not been there, but I can recommend a drink that is made on the island.
A friend brought me back a bottle of Palo de Mallorca which if I remember correctly had a very nice caramel flavour. Seek it out if you should ever visit.
I’ve never been, but would love to!
not been to Mallorca yet, so l am avidly reading other posts on here
The best place to visit in Mallorca is the west coast. Soller or Deia are beautiful and quiet. Also Palma is well worth a visit.
I have never been but I believe it is beautiful
The Cuevas del Drach caves.
I’ve never been but would love to go x
Cala Figuera is a great place for a walk along the coast.
Puerto de Pollenca ; a lovely place, very little high-rise and plenty to enjoy
Catedral de Mallorca
I love the beauty of Cala D’Or, and the vibrance is Palma
We went to Palma several years ago as part of a Mediterranean cruise. We managed a quick bus tour around the city and then it was time to get back on the ship!
Soller or Deia is where I’d head for
I’ve never been to Mallorca but I’ve heard that it’s very beautiful when you get away from the tourist traps.
I’ve never been to Mallorca, but reading about it may entice me
Palma cathedral and Palma old town is a must see on any visit to Mallorca
I’ve visited once a long time ago, not sure if I’ve any tips but I will say it’s a lovely family friendly place
Would love to share some tips, but sadly I’ve never been to Mallorca.
Mallorca was my first holiday abroad – many many years ago so I guess it has changed dramatically since then. I do remember visiting Palma via an extremely crowded bus, lovely food and drink and wonderful beaches.
