International GIVEAWAY: 5 copies of Dreamland set along the Amalfi Coast!

18th August 2019

We are delighted to offer you 5 COPIES of Dreamland And Other Stories by Jan Mazzoni, short stories set along the Amalfi Coast

set along the Amalfi Coast

A young boy runs away to sea. An elderly countess finds a stray dog – and love. A Patricia Highsmith fan follows in her idol’s footsteps, in more ways than one. A woman goes in search of her roots and wishes she hadn’t.

Just some of the visitors to DREAMLAND.

The Amalfi coast. For years it was a favourite with the jet-setters, an elite group who kept it very much to themselves. Then in the 1980s package tours made it possible for everyone to see what they’d been missing. These are the stories of those early visitors who discovered the charms of the coast when the locals still lived much as they had for generations. Before it became a World Heritage Site. Before the invasion.

Sad, moving, funny, these stories will take you on a journey to an Italy that may look familiar, but is already part of the past. Catch it while you can.

HOW TO ENTER:

Just tell us what you would like to see along the Amalfi Coast. Would you like to go down to Naples? See Positano? Rock up in Ravello? Breathe in the aroma of lemons? Any top tips for people who will be visiting?

Do this by midnight UK time on Saturday, 31st August 2019 and the first 5 names out of the hat will be sent copies direct by the author.

Travel to Amalfi by bus can be a bit scary but worth the view all along the coast have a coffee and sandwich in a bar and then leave by boat. The view of Amalfi from the water takes my breath away

I would love to go to the Festa Di Sant’ Andrea in Amalfi. I would like to follow the procession of San Andreas relics to the Duomo and as he is the Patron Saint of fishermen, finish the evening enjoying a fish supper and maybe a Campari Spritz or two !

I would go to see Sorrento!
When I was a little girl, our neighbours (the mother was Italian) used to go to Sorrento every year for their holidays & would send us a postcard.
Sorrento looked so inviting, I’d love to see how it looks today!

I would love to go back to the Amalfi coast now that I’m in my 30s. I stayed in Sorrento for two weeks when I was 18. Whilst I was there I sampled Limoncello. I also explored a bit more of Italy by taking tips to Capri, Rome, Naples and Pompeii. Italy is by far the most beautiful country I have been to. I would love a paperback copy of this so that I could reminisce.

I’ve been to Naples when we were emigrating but I was only 6 so I recall very little. So would love to read this.

Haven’t been to the Amalfi Coast but I am told you must see Positano with the coloured houses in the hillside. Go on a boat trip for the best view followed by a leisurely drink in one of the wonderful cafes.

I would like to see the marvelous Roman-era frescoes recently coming to light under a church in Positano.
