Proud to announce the launch of the TripFiction Book Club

1st March 2017

Come and join us for the launch of the brand new TripFiction Book Club #TFBookClub! This your book club – we are here to help you discover new titles that will transport you to lush locations via top literature for some exceptional #literarywanderlust! (OK, we might join the chat a bit too).

Every few weeks we will feature a selected book and we will be chatting about it on the website and on Social Media over the following weeks. We want you to join in and chat along, as we all read the same book.

This month we are featuring  Rosanna Ley’s new book “The Little Theatre by the Sea“,  published on 9th March. It is set in Dorset and Sardinia, and has a really good storyline. What’s it about?

fullsizeoutput_28b0

Faye is an interior designer, no boyfriend, and no job. But an invitation from old friend Charlotte to stay with her and her husband in Sardinia soon piques her interest. Oh, and would she consider renovating a crumbling old theatre in a scenic village whilst she is there? Will this indeed be a once-in-a-liftetime opportunity she hopes?

If you would like to read along with us over the next few weeks, join in the discussions and engage with fellow book lovers, then we would love to hear from you. We aim to chat as we go along and finish reading towards the end of March.

To get the ball rolling, we have 3 paperback copies available (UK only) and several digital copies (world) – if you want to be in with a chance of obtaining one of these copies just drop your thoughts in the Comments Box below – have you read any of Rosanna Ley’s books, have you been to Sardinia, do you know Dorset?

Enter by midnight UK time on 8th March. The first names out of the hat on the 9th March will secure copies, which will be distributed immediately thereafter.

Looking forward to meeting you all very soon and hearing what you have to say.

I would love one of the digital copies as I have never read this author’s books before and this one sounds so intriguing.

I’m sticking to my goal of reading only the books I already own for six months so will have to resist the temptation to join in with this. but i’ll watch with interest from the side lines

    Hello everyone

TripFiction have kindly asked me to help get #TFBookClub off the ground. I’ve been to Sardinia and love Dorset – all those echoes of Hardy! – so Rosanna Ley’s new book sounds like a great choice.

Look forward to hearing the thoughts of all those lucky readers who get their hands on a copy.

I have read Return to Mandalay and Bay of Secrets and loved both, perfect mix of journeys to different parts of the world with a touch of history. I haven’t been to Dorset but loved Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier which transported me to the Dorset coastline. Good luck with the book club and look forward to joining in

Ooh looking forward to the book club. Books and travel are my thing! I am widely travelled and although I’ve been to Corsica I’ve never been to Sardinia. Someone was talking to me about Rosanna Ley the other day so I’ve only just been introduced to her. Sounds a great read!

I had not heard of Rosanna Ley before but was delighted to pick up a copy of The Saffron Trail set in Morocco and Cornwall. It cost me 20p in a jumble sale!! I will read it after I have finished The Shoe Maker’s Wife which is our Reading Group choic this month.

This sounds and looks the perfect read to brighten up the gloom.. I love Dorset and grew up close by in Wiltshire. My mother had a favourite garden centre at Cranborne that remained a popular outing well into her 90s.

Ah I love Rosanna Ley! Her books give me the opportunity to travel to places I’ve only dreamt of! My favourite to date has been the Saffron Trail! All the colours of Marrakesh mixed with the romance of saffron… heaven!

I’ve read and enjoyed several of Rosanna Ley’s books and look forward to reading this one. I would love to visit Sardinia. I have been to its close (French) neighbour, Corsica, many times and seen the Sardinian shoreline across the straits from Bonifacio, but still haven’t set foot there. And I’ve been to Dorset some time ago, but I certainly don’t know it well.

New author for me….but as I have learned in the past ….each new author becomes another favourite! I have not been to Sardinia, but have travelled through many places in Italy ..so any book that is set in Italy (or Greece and other European places ) piques my interest from the off. I love Dorset too as spent many holidays there !

I haven’t read her books but the story line sounds right up my alley. I pride myself in being good with geography but both Dorset and Sardinia are places that I cannot place on the map in my head! I k ow Dorset is in the U.K. And Sardinia is a island maybe near France and Italy? But that’s it! I can’t wait to read it!

Love the idea of the book club! I know Dorset but have never been to Sardinia, which I understand is beautiful. And although I’ve heard of the author, I’ve not read any of her books and this sounds a great starting point.

Congratulations for the Book Club, looking forward to travelling places with you via words.

Rosana is an author I’ve heard about but not read. Though whenever I hanker for a luxurious, me time read UK is my go to setting in Books. I always pick old Barbara Bradford books, Historical Fiction set during wws. Ah! Good reading times.
