#TFBookClub reads “Do Not Become Alarmed” set in CENTRAL AMERICA
19th June 2017
#TFBookClub July/August 2017
Our first two outings for the #TFBookClub have been a great success. We have been #OnLiteraryLocation with Rosanna Ley’s “The Little Theatre By The Sea” (SARDINIA) and we have explored the sense of history in PRAGUE, reading Prague Nights by Benjamin Black.
Do Not Become Alarmed by Maile Meloy is published on 6 July 2017, and is set in CENTRAL AMERICA.
Come and join us reading this book! It is a fast-paced thriller, seen through the eyes of parents and children, the older generation portrayed as weak and flawed, the younger as surprisingly resourceful and resilient. The plot includes some challenging scenes to read, but it certainly grips the reader’s attention throughout. This book is being promoted as one of the top Summer Reads for 2017!
To get the ball rolling, the publisher has kindly offered the #TFBookClub a number of paperback copies (UK only) and a number of digital copies (via NetGalley) for those who prefer that format, and for those who are outside the UK.
If you would like to apply for a copy to read along with us during July and early August 2017, just leave a COMMENT below about your own perceptions of Central America (either real or imagined). Alternatively, the action kicks off on a large cruise ship…..what are your own experiences cruising, and have you had a memorable adventure, either on-board or ashore?
Please tell us whether you prefer paper (UK only) or digital or either. The first names out of the hat on SATURDAY 1st July 2017 will be sent copies by the publisher. After that we can all get stuck in and share our thoughts over the subsequent weeks.
We will be in touch at the beginning of July if you are one of our lucky readers!
Thank you to Penguin/Random House for supporting the #TFBookClub.
