Serena has a job to die for, as an editor at Vogue. She has Chase who is fashioning his political career and just before she leaves for an assignment in Cannes, he plants an engagement ring on her finger. Bowling up in Cannes, things aren’t falling into place – first off she can’t find a room because of the Cannes Film Festival, then Chase starts messing about, then some very worrying news about her parents arrives on her doorstep and then she finds her own stalker in the form of Nick. Ducking and diving, the story moves forward through the gorgeous ambience that is Cannes and the Cote d’Azur, fashion, romance and glamour are the hallmarks of this novel.
