Overall, I did enjoy this book. However, the first 300 or so pages to me felt very slow and overly descriptive. I really had to push myself through the first section.
That being said, it was Definitely worth the read. I found myself learning a bit about New Zealand and its gold rush even though I must admit I was never quite clear on the star charts and astrological references.
