Book set in Iraq in the Gulf war firstly and then in modern days – it is quite a weird plot: an ex soldier sees a girl that he thought dead and goes back to Iraq to find her involving a journalist and a humanitarian manager. It is fascinating and very hard to read about conditions in Iraq and all the massacres. However I am not very sure about the plot and the main characters either. It didn’t blow me away.
