And that is the vision that remained with me – the idea that the Japanese cycled down through Malaysia to invade Singapore. I was staying up at the Peak in Singapore with friends (thank you Cursty and Kim for having us to stay)and I took this book to read whilst I was in Singapore. Interesting read, though a tad laboured in parts, but that didn’t matter as I went round the little museum at the Peak, which has an ACTUAL BCYCLE used by the Japanese. How wonderful to combine living history and literature!
