Thriller set on a private CARIBBEAN ISLAND
Archdeacon Goes Live (Full of bright ideas and only 46!)
A hilarious story starring A.D. the Archdeacon, as in changed times, he reflects on the previous year’s progress of his mission to revamp religious broadcasting and take the church out of the building with the help of his outstandingly funny team of long-suffering assistants.
Archdeacon Goes Live is the first of the amusing exploits of A.D. as he prefers to be known by those who love him. And he believes there are many!
In his side-splitting way, A.D. thrives on life, love and God’s faithfulness. He has no doubt as he motors through his calling that his instantaneous prayers, his “Smith Wigglesworth moments,” as he calls them, will be answered.
Full of humour but at times a tender struggle the story tracks the progress of A.D. and his team from the areas of London around Dean’s Yard and Westminster Abbey, Knightsbridge and South Kensington to Lambeth and St James’s. His home in Purley, Surrey, is always open and he has a propensity for putting on a “do.”
Involvement with the BBC will take the team to Langham Place and the delights of afternoon tea in the Palm Court at the Langham.
It is a lovable and entertaining story and we will see the characters unfold as they progress to the beaches of North Devon and the surf calls at Woolacombe.
