Another delightful book about the adventures of Toby Jug!
Not only do you get to spend lots of time in the company of some wonderful animals, you also get to take a trip to Northumberland, which sounds charming. I think if we don’t get to go abroad next year, that could be a possible staycation spot.
The only thing I didn’t like about this book is when Dennis messes up the hunt, at first I was fine with this as thought he had just put something down to throw the hounds off the scent, I didn’t realise he poisoned them! I know the dogs all survived but it’s not their fault they are involved, they are just acting on instinct at the words of their masters. I didn’t feel it was fair that they were the ones to be punished.
Other than that, this was a fab book that makes you wish you had your own Owl Cottage tucked away in the country side.
