Murder at the Caravan

Author(s): David Pearson

Location(s): Connemara

Genre(s): Crime, Fiction

Era(s): Current

Questions are asked after a man goes missing; the cryptic answer turns out to be murder…

When Christine Dalton’s brother doesn’t turn up for a festive dinner, she calls Sergeant Séan Mulholland at the local Garda station in Clifden, a small town on the west coast of Ireland.

Slightly perturbed at his quiet night in being disturbed, Mulholland heads out regardless to Gerard McCarthy’s caravan which overlooks the ocean.

The man is nowhere to be seen but after days pass, the search is renewed with vigour, and a badly beaten body is found in the undergrowth near McCarthy’s temporary abode.

Galway officers, led by Senior Detective Inspector Maureen Lyons, launch a murder inquiry and the focus is on a man and woman seen driving in the area on the night of the disappearance.

But the truth is rarely simple and, as it happens, the case is set to get a whole lot more puzzling.
