Being Someone

Being Someone

Author(s): Adrian Harvey

Location(s): India, London, New York City (NYC)

Genre(s): Fiction

Era(s): Turn of the 20th century

Two stories interweave. The story of an elephant in Southern India and turn of the 21st London where a romance between a Londoner and a New Yorker is burgeoning. It is deft the way these two stories intertwine. The author effortlessly brings together urban streets, landscapes and domestic interiors in a beautifully seamless way. There is an incredible evocation of places which is one of the superb strengths of this book.
