A delightful find for a trip to South East Asia

Written in the mid 90s, mainly as a retrospective, Tim Page reflects back on his time during the “American” war, in his role as a war photographer. It brings to life the everyday Vietnam and certainly holds current in parts to today’s Vietnam ie: he describes how normal it is to get ice in your beer (and I thought it was an errant waiter in Hanoi!). I picked up some history from it too and some interesting nuggets. It is a book very much of its era and sometimes it feels somewhat dated.
