A good thriller

This book is set in the heart of Florence, occasionally travels beyond the city, and feels incredibly “local”. Snow sculptures in San Vigilio di Marebbe (they really do exist!!) seem extraordinary and sound worth a visit. Florentine flavour overall is brilliant, and streets, cafes, restaurants all give an Italian feel. The back cover describes the book as dealing with the rarely explored criminal underbelly of Florence, which is a true reflection of the book. Lots of murders going on…did I enjoy it? I really enjoyed the first 2/3rds of the book and then found towards the end it began to drag, and I skim-read towards the end.
