It’s nearing Christmas in rural Wales and the weather is harsh and snowy. The perfect setting for a crime thriller. This is a tale told from the perspective of several characters – each is not necessarily what they seem though. The pace is quite slow at first but builds to a body packed finale where true identities are uncovered, past crimes are revealed and all the characters’ seemingly disparate tales come together. The bleak Welsh countryside and extreme rural location just add to the menace of the whole thing.
