Why is this book out of print as I write? It is by far and away a brilliant book that escorts you around Venice, as is nothing like the traditional guidebooks. It takes you through several walks pointing out the cultural highlights, paintings, and photographs and at points takes you right back to generations before and what they might have seen at various stopping points. In essence it endeavours to take you to places that you might otherwise miss. Plenty of points where you can stop and admire the scene of enjoy a cafe stop.
