An ok chicklit, but a little too predictable.
- Book: The Flatshare
- Location: London
- Author: Beth O'Leary
Tiffy and Leon share a flat. Tiffy and Leon share a bed. Tiffy and Leon have never met.
That is part of the blurb of this book, and quite honestly it was so obvious what was going to happen that it put me off a little bit. (Yes they fall in love.) I felt that was a real shame as the basis of the book is actually really clever. I loved the idea behind how they fell in love, the post its and the things they learn about each other from never meeting were very cute.
Overall it is a good book, and I imagine it’s really good if you like chicklit. I personally just felt a bit of depth was lacking and I really didn’t understand why Leon’s chapters were written in note form with no personal pronouns.
Set in London, but it doesn’t play a huge part in it.
