This is the first Jojo Moyes’ book I have read and I enjoyed the easy reading, the humour and structure of the episode in the life of Louisa’s adventure in New York. This is a charming love story woven around the stories of others. Agnes, the young Polish second wife of a millionaire. The seemingly angry, but interesting Mrs De Witt and of course Dean Martin. You get to see several sides of New York,( a city on my list of places to visit), Central Park, Manhattan, Fifth Avenue and the contrast of Washington Heights. Louisa has a taste for vintage clothes and the I became reminiscent of Biba, the 60s, 70s and more. The book is mainly set in New York and it very much gave me a sense of what The Big Apple might be like.
