Can cockroaches survive a nuclear attack? asks Karl Pilkington
- Book: An Idiot Abroad: The Travel Diaries of Karl Pilkington
- Location: World
- Author: Karl Pilkington
A quick, funny, puerile, well observed, cringeworthy, witty, annoying, laugh-out-loud, hysterical, sad and daft book of Karl’s travels to the wonders of the world. My preferred country was India as he describes it, some really funny observations and dry humour. But Karl – CHECK your facts. He says: “I also associate crazy inventions and technology with China. I have a book that is full of odd Chinese inventions I remember seeing a hat with a toilet-roll holder on the top, and a picture of small mops on cats’ feets so when they wander around the kitchen waiting to be fed they can clean the floor at the same time”. This is in fact JAPANESE and is called Chindogu. So, of course this put into questions all the other wisdom and observations offered in this book, sadly. I would love to believe cockroaches survive a nuclear attack….
For this reason I have given it a low content rating.
