Delightful detective story.

  • Book: Murder on the Downs
  • Location: Whitstable
  • Author: Julie Wassmer

Review Author: Leah Tonna

This is the first book I’ve read by Julie Wassmer & I’ll definitely look out for more. Expecting it to be an old-fashioned type of whodunnit I was pleasantly surprised by the modern characters, up-to-date problem scenes, & believable relationships. Fascinating murders which don’t keep you awake at night, (not too much gory detail), & very descriptive of life in a South East seaside town, I thoroughly enjoyed my bookish trip to Whitstable & Pearl’s life…..& I didn’t guess the killer!
