This is the third Kate Daniels book set in Newcastle upon Tyne. You discover more about Kate and wonder will she won’t she end up back with her soul mate, Jo. This novel starts off with lots of activity and crimes emerging from what is an accident scene. You wonder where is all this going? But it does become clear and Kate’s perseverance and passion for her job gets the job done. I like Kate Daniels as a character and so I do get drawn into her personal life. It is a page turner set mainly in Newcastle. I liked Settled Blood, the second Kate Daniels, because it was set in Northumberland too. But I like books where I can picture the places.
