This was a good read even although I guessed the ending before I got to it. Andrew goes back to his home after his mother has died and the unsolved mystery of the past becomes the main theme of the book. I found it quite gripping and hard to put down as I wanted to know the outcome and the description of the hot summer and their outings to the river for a cool swim were brought to life vividly. An enjoyable holiday read.
