• Book: The Forgotten Summer
  • Location: Var
  • Author: Carol Drinkwater

Review Author: Cupcake2016

Such a fabulous page-turning read: 423 pages of enduring love, family secrets, tragedy, and heartbreak, all set on a vineyard in beautiful Provence. On several occasions, I thought I had worked out where the book was going, until Carol threw it in a different direction. Carol’s wonderful description, as in her other books, played with all of my senses and emotions allowing me to be fully absorbed into the story and share the protagonist’s journey. What a superb story from such a great storyteller! I cannot wait for future books!
