I loved this book as it gave an insight into Mozart’s very early adult life (it made me think throughout how little of his life there was left to live)and it gave a perspective of his relationships with his parents and, in particular, the fascinating Weber sisters in the setting mainly of Mannheim, the Weber family home town. Vienna, Salzburg, Munich and Prague are the other settings. Find the music to listen to mentioned in the book to complete the picture and marvel at an aria composed for Constanze, the most flirtatious of the sisters. Written by an opera singer through the eyes of the youngest sister Sophie, I felt confident that the author’s insight could be trusted. Please write the follow up Ms Cowell.
