This is a very contemplative book. The author tells about one summer alone with fledgling peregrine falcons, readying them for release, and thinks a lot about flight and his time in the Air Force. He is a poet and quotes other poets. It is an absolutely splendid autobiography and meditation. I give it only three stars for location because so much of it is not about the Adirondacks around him.
