Still with me, from a BT lover.
- Book: Monument to Murder (Kate Daniels 4)
- Location: Bamburgh, Northumberland
- Author: Mari Hannah
I finished reading this book a few weeks ago but it is still with me. Why you might ask? Well actually I miss it because it was compulsive reading and filled any spare moment I had. I love reading books that hold me like that.
This 4th Kate Daniels novel is set on the beautiful Northumberland coast, namely Bamburgh and Newton by the Sea, as well as Alnwick. I love the coast and there is nowhere better than the Northumberland coast which remains unspoilt with mile after mile of beach to be able to walk your dog. This novel gives you the sense of space but also the majesty of Bamburgh. I know Newton by the Sea well and it is portrayed beautifully in this book of intertwined stories. Border Terriers feature and one makes an important find. I think Kate Daniels has a bit of a passion for Borders, which pleases me as an owner.
If you have not read any of Mari Hannah’s books I would urge you to start with the first and follow through the Kate Daniels character. Having said that the books do stand alone and are set in different parts of the north east of England.
