Dance of Eagles is a taut thriller set in the turmoil of Rhodesia past and present. During the vicious bush war in 1975 TV journalist Rebecca Rawlings becomes involved through her growing relationship with the arrogant Peter Kennedy. The secretive guerrilla ‘The Mamba’ slowly draws Rebecca into his grasp. Meanwhile in 1352 the Tsimbaboue live as they have for centuries. Tcana steps into womanhood and marries the King’s son, her vision of a new direction for her people brings danger for her and her followers.

Dance of Eagles is an interweaving story of Zimbabwe torn apart by ancient beliefs and a modern guerrilla war. The lives of Tcana, from Zimbabwe’s past, and Rebecca, involved in Zimbabwe’s modern conflict, are intractably drawn together. Both women are tested to the limits of their endurance.

I was gripped by Dance of Eagles from the shocking beginning to the dramatic final page.
