Wow! What a great book. I think it’s gone to the top of the list of my favourite books ever. Also the only book in 2 years that our WI Book Group universally loved.

Great characters and brilliant, twisty storylines, weaving them together, apart and then together again.

Florence is the main character though – the eternal city is beautifully drawn by the author.

Can’t recommend highly enough. Haven’t found anyone yet who didn’t like it.
