Wow! – a great book set in New Zealand

Before I write a review, I would like to say this: it will be a very long time before I hold a book of this calibre in my hands again.
Right from the first page this work is just captivating. Well chosen words, cleverly crafted paragraphs, the interspersing of telling the “normal” story with “the fall” and the occasional comments – hilarious – by dear Mother – absolutely brilliant, it really deserves “brilliant” in its original glorious meaning.
The author makes her reader soemtimes laugh and, perhaps, sometimes shed a tear. A storyteller par excellence. Please – DO read it!!
