This book bowls along, through the streets of Newcastle and environs. You can recognise all kinds of familiar places and that just adds an extra something when reading the book. Generally it was gripping – though there was one point when the serial killer works out the Kate’s relationship with another character and that (tiny) bit was a leap of faith, but otherwise great, esp. if you are coming to Newcastle and want to experience a book “set in”.
