Thank you for picking me to win one of the five books. Going to start reading it today!
I would love to win a copy of The Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter because lighthouses hold a special place in my heart. My cousin got married in a lighthouse in Cornwall it was magical. Lighthouses are barely in use and it’s such a shame as they really are quiet magical and mysterious.
Beachy Head is known for sad reasons rather than as an amazing, tranquil beauty spot. Madrid brings to mind passion, nightlife, music, culture and excitement. A book about both sounds like day and night, so I’m intrigued and would love to win a copy.
Although I’m not a particular fan of romance books, this one has humour so really appeals to me. I’ve been to Beachy Head several times…(but stayed well away from the edge.) I’ve never been to Madrid but love the music, colour & food of Spain, am married to a Mediterranean man so understand how speaking different languages leads to misunderstandings, this story looks entertaining & enticing.
Beachy Head has such a negative connotation that I would be intrigued by this setting. Madrid is on my hitlist of city destinations too!
When I was a teenager, my family and a Lighthousekeeper’s family became close friends. I always thought their home and life was impossibly glamorous, although I’m sure it didn’t seem so to them, especially in winter storms when the light had to be kept lit. Just reading the title of the book has brought back warm happy memories – I’d love to go on to read the whole book.
As I’ve no summer holidays planned and everyone around me seems to be flying to exciting locations I would love to escape somewhere through a good book
I love beaches and Madrid!
The author of The Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter is a very talented lady and also a dear old friend of mine from many years back. I would just love a signed copy to treasure. x
1 was born in Sussex and although I moved when I was very small I spent all my summer holidays there with my granny. I revisited Beachy Head a few years ago and thought it was wonderful. I have never been to Madrid as we never liked driving through cities in our camper van but I do love flamenco and all things Spanish!
Beachy Head is such an iconic Sussex landmark, and the drive down across the South Downs has such fantastic views – I’d love to see how it ciomes across in literary form 🙂
I am the BIGGEST beach lover!! Thanks.
I love the beach and this story set there sounds fabulous!

Would love to win this as it sounds so intriguing! I also have a thing for lighthouses!
Well I haven’t been to either location, but I do love a good read.
Urbane publications have built up an impressive catalogue. The premise for this book sounds intriguing and the general buzz about it has already infiltrated my consciousness.
This sounds a deeply thoughtful book concerning relationships built into the storyline. I’d love to read it.
Sounds like a great read, love Lighthouses they remind me of my Dad x
I have never read anything else by this author so would love to read this book.
How intriguing this sounds.
The original Belle Tout lighthouse was in danger of falling into the sea and it was actually moved further back. We were able to follow this via our local news. I believe that the lighthouse is a posh holiday home now.
I’d love to read this book.
I love the cover of this and it sounds a fascinating story
