Synopsis

Cornwall, a warm, sunny day in August. Cyclists pass on the Camel Trail near Padstow. For a young family, their happy life comes to a sudden halt with a horrific find in the mud on the river bank.

Six weeks later, Tregunna delves into the case of missing schoolgirl Leanne. He is still on compassionate leave and with little else to do than fight his own demons, the case can’t be more welcome to him.

Then a shoe with a foot still in it, is found at Pendennis Point near Falmouth and when more body parts wash up along the Cornish coast, it soon becomes clear that they al belonged to the same person.

As he is drawn deeper into a world of violence an revenge, Tregunna comes face to face with an old adversary to haunt him and it seems that the past can never be buried …
