In September 1991,the frozen and well preserved corpse of a man is discovered, together with a stone axe and remnants of leather and fur. He had died in the early Bronze Age. Fowler, who is a journalist, provides an interesting narrative from the discovery, to ownership issues, through to ethical issues surrounding the cadaver (the Tyrol has been fought over between Austria and Italy for centuries). A vibrant read.
