Corrupt politicians, a decrepit cop and the secret service all share the limelight in this novel where characters’ paths cross, merge and eventually unravel

Set in Bologna, this is really quite a riveting read. I read somewhere that it makes comparisons to Elmore Leonard, which makes sense.
