A heart-stopping new dual timeline novel, from the bestselling author of The Belladonna Maze.
Annie thinks she has found the answer when she leaves her home on the west coast of Ireland and boards a ship for New York. Irish maids are in demand in the 1920s, and she finds work with the wealthy Cavendish family in their opulent Fifth Avenue mansion.
Annie soon makes a friend, an Italian waitress named Elena. As their friendship deepens into something more passionate and dangerous for them both, however, Annie’s past rises up to haunt her. Once again she will be forced to flee.
A century later, in post-pandemic Ireland, Emer is also running, and finds a haven in her family’s home in West Kerry. But here, too, the past is refusing to die, and as Annie and Emer’s lives intertwine, long buried secrets are about to be revealed…

I love museums, so the Metropolitan Museum of Art would have to be one of the first places I’d visit.
The One World Observatory looks stunning.
I love Ireland and have been many times. I would love to discover the old part of Manhatten
I think a boat trip and visit to the Statue of Liberty would be top of my list.
I would like to see The Oculus
The Empire State Building!!
I love Manhattan. I recommend The High Line and Central Park for walking.
It would have to be the Empire State Building closely followed by Times Square
Definitely to see ground zero, i was lucky enough to see the towers months before they were gone.
And to see the city by night would be an amazing sight
Each time I’ve been to NYC I’ve stayed near Times Square which is a very vibrant area and has a discounted ticket booth for a trip to the theatre. Go for a pizza in Little Italy and the best way of discovering this incredible city is by walking around as much as possible. Central Park is a must see and since I last visited in 2012 High Line park has opened which I’d like to visit when I return next year. A walk across Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan provides magnificent views as does Empire State Building which is open late and better to visit when it’s dark.
I love peace and quiet so I don’t think Manhattan would appeal to me at all. reading about it is much more my thing!
See the famous empire state building.go up to the top for the great views
Visit South Korea.Japan.China. because culture is so different
I would like to see Whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters in Manhattan because what’s better than a Manhattan in Manhattan and my tip “try ice”
central park
I have never been so would want to explore everywhere, but top of my list would be Central Park
I’d love to explore Central Park.
The night time boat tour is a must
absolutely everything
I’d like to go up the Statue of Liberty
I’d love just to walk the streets …. not like that! but it feels so well known even though i’ve never been there i’d just like to wander and surprise myself by seeing things i’ve seen in films!
Shops! Although there are lots of attractions – and I would want to visit as many as possible – there’s no point visiting Manhattan and not soaking up the retail opportunities.
I would love to visit Central Park and see a show on Broadway but other than that I am not keen on visiting such a busy City, I think I would feel a bit panicky!! Always love reading books though in the Big Apple. Many thanks!
I would love to visit Central Park, it always sounds amazing in books
Would love to go to Friends Experience in Manhattan or a helicopter ride over New York & Manhattan
I’m not sure I would like to visit New York, London is too busy for me! I always love reading books set in New York though!

Love to see the skyline and architecture
My son went with the school and he said The Rockefeller Center was amazing so that would be where I would go. Also don’t let someone go and buy your train tickets like his teacher did they were robbed
I’d like to walk round Central Park
I would cheat and have a helicopter flight around manhatton and see all the sights from above, there are some brilliant museums here and my daughter who has visited has shown loads of videos of th nightlife
Grand Central Terminal – Great architecture and iconic film location
I haven’t been so don’t have any tips but I would love to go one day and see for myself all the sights I have read about.

I’d love to visit Times Square, especially at New Year Eve striking midnight
The Statue of Liberty such an icon
I would like to visit places where movies were filmed…and there are a lot!
Central Park, Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum are must see’s in Manhattan

Such an interesting city, with so much to see. I’d just enjoy wandering around and absorbing the atmosphere.
I would love to explore Manhattan. I have never been before. I would visit all the top tourist sites.
There are so many places on my Manhattan must-see list, including Central Park, Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. In fact, I’d quite like to just abandon everything, get on a plane and go there right now!
I’ve never been to Manhattan so would have to read a book about it to know what to do and see!
As with any major tourist destination, when you are looking for somewhere to eat, take the time to walk 5 to 10 minutes away from places tourists congregate and you’ll find better food at lower prices.
I’d love to explore the The High Line for a different view of Manhatten.
Tip.. The free ferry to Staten Island gives great views of NY and The Statue of liberty and runs day and night from the southern tip of Manhatten
Would love to see The Empire State Building
I would revisit Macy’s in Manhattan! I was last there in 1878!
I’ve never been to Manhatten so I’m not sure what I would see
Manhattan is really easy to walk around – and you can catch the subway once you get tired.
I’d like to walk the High Line, an elevated linear park built on a historic freight rail line.
Visiting along the way, gardens, art installations, seating areas, and views of the Hudson River and city skyline.
The East Village sounds interesting x
