GIVEAWAY: 3 copies of One Summer by Taylor Cole – CORNWALL
28th July 2024
We are delighted to offer 3 copies of One Summer by Taylor Cole, a novel to transport the reader to CORNWALL. UK ONLY

Two people. Two pasts. One summer to fall in love.
Caleb is a former professional surfer trying to build his life after a career-ending accident.
Lindy has moved to Loor island to start a new life, combing the shores for sea glass to weave into jewelry.
When the two meet, sparks fly – but not the good kind. Then they discover they’re neighbours, and they’re stuck with each other for one, long summer.
As they slowly learn to trust each other, and find themselves sharing their stories that brought them to Loor, their dislike begins to unravel into friendship, then maybe something more.
But will the weight of their pasts ruin their chance of a future?

Cornwall is so beautiful, one of my favourite places is Charlestown because of the amazing food in the area. My favourite restaurant there is Springtide.
The best place to visit is St Ives.
Sadly with much regret I have never been to Cornwall although it is somewhere I have always wanted to visit as one of my grandparents was born in Liskeard where he started his working life as a tin miner. A tragic mining accident killed his father and the family then moved to Northumberland where Grandad transferred to a coal pit. Now too old to travel such a long distance so have to be satisfied by reading both non-fiction and fiction books of the county.
Portreath has a lovely beach and is just so pretty, on the South West Coast Path walk too.
I’ve never been, but dying to go and see the gorgeous beaches and sample the scones.
I have not been for over 40 years, but I can still remember their gorgeous beaches and delicious clotted cream scones!
I have holidayed several times in Cornwall and think it is a beautiful place to visit and explore. I have been to St Ives twice and love how busy and bustling it is, with a gorgeous beach. And I have also stayed on Lizard Peninsula which was a beautiful place to explore with stunning scenery.
St Ives has some amazing food. Our favourite place is The Deli, when you get sick of pasties, their grilled goats cheese and beetroot salad is divine. We love to stay at 27 the Terrace. The seaview rooms have a lovely view over the beautiful Porthminster Beach
Best for watching the sea.
It’s a long drive down to Cornwall from North West England so we break it up with a night stop. Two weeks in a cottage by the sea is our reward, a beautiful part of the world that rejuvenates the soul
It was a long time ago I visited (1973) but I have such fond memories of the high-banked and narrow twisty lanes and the relatively unknown beach and cove of Lansallos. Gorgeous place to spend a summer out of doors.
it has some of the best beaches and coves
I love Cornwall – particularly the beaches, the scenery and the cozy pubs

I loved our visit to the Eden Project. I visited in the early days of the project and would love to visit again
I’ve never been, would love to visit.
I’ve visited twice and both times the sea mist was so thick I couldn’t realistically travel any distance to see the sights. Looking forward to a ‘third time lucky’ visit soon to enjoy the coves and beaches.
I love the coastal path, stunning scenery and loads of lovely pubs, cafes and guest houses along the route.
Cornwall is a great place I Particularly like Falmouth and enjoy eating at The Brasserie On The Bay.

Bude is brilliant for being both dog friendly and wheelchair accessible
Happy memories of visiting as a child and going to lots of farms with adventure playgrounds. And great literature!
A visit to St Ives is a must. There are several beautiful beaches and some excellent restaurants. You can sit and watch the bustling harbour or explore the art galleries. You can get to St Ives on the train which follows the coastline which is a treat in itself.

I love Cornwall the beaches are beautiful and clean and I absolutely love a Cornish Cream Tea.
Cornwall is a beautiful place. My brother and sister in law even moved there. Just be careful as the roads are really narrow and it is hard to find anywhere to park.
Cornwall is great for sea air beaches, food and walks

For me it has to be St Michael’s Mount, I like to go there and sometimes walk over the causeway or take a boat if the tide is in.

I love Cornwall – we used to go a lot when the kids were small, including the year when we were in our caravan one Easter when it snowed. One fond memory is buying smoked mackerel through a window in Penzance then eating in with our fingers with some lovely bread, on the beach

Cornish pasties & Cornish cream teas are two must haves when in Cornwall (jam first, remember!)
My favourite place to stay is St Agnes, where you can watch the waves crash against the rocks & the surfers stay afloat!
As a child I can remember staying in a tiny fisherman’s cottage overlooking the sea. The ceiling were very low even for me as a child and the staircase upstairs was miniscule. From memory, there were lovely beaches and shops.
The best thing to come out of Cornwall is my husband! As he was brought up there, he knows all the out-of-the-way places that are beautiful yet not overrun with tourists.
Cornwall is a lovely place to visit, with two great coastlines, plenty of heritage places too.
My fave place is Porthleven, lovely little eating places, craft and art shops.
