I’d like to visit king henry viii court and see it all unfold myself
I would want to visit ancient Egypt to discover just how the pyramids were built.
Biblical Times
Victorian Era The British Empire had relatively peaceful relations with the other great powers. It participated in various military conflicts mainly against minor powers. The British Empire expanded during this period and was the predominant power in the world.
I would love to be transported to the WWII era. While I understand the hardships and horror of living through this time, I would love to learn more, see what it was really like, and experience the camaraderie between the women in the communities who lived through it.

I would love to go back to the Regency period as I love their fashion. Would love to see if their dresses were comfortable and look at their footwear as they often seem to be outside with flimsy dresses and ballerina type shoes whatever the weather!

I would love to be transported back to the early 1800s to see what the UK was like in that industrial era – particularly Yorkshire with the rise of the mills and the smogs of London. I wouldn’t want to stay too long though!

I would love to go back to Tudor times and the court of Henry VIII. The large banquets, opulent food and wonderful clothes.
The Victorian era. It would be so strange to live in an era with zero tech and a much more simpler (and different) life style to that of today.
I’d like to see what the 60s was all about with it’s music, fashion, peace and love, and wars.
I’d like to re-visit the 1980s which was such a fun time in my life.
I’d like to go back to the Triassic and Jurassic and see what dinosaurs actually look like (as long as I was safe!)

I’d love to be able to go back to 1905 to find out what life was like for my young, newly married paternal Grandma in rural Lincolnshire and contrast it with that of my maternal Grandma’s life as a miner’s wife in Northumberland.

The 80s as I loved the music back then.
I am fascinated by Pompeii and have visited several times. It would be lovely to be transported back (just for a day!) to before the eruption to see the busy streets, shops and bath houses.
Between the wars, though thinking back throughout history most periods have been terrible times to be a woman!

The Wagon Train era of the US, circa 1820s. How amazing to witness the courage, determination and strength of the people who undertook these arduous and dangerous journeys to begin new lives in the west. The varied, unspoilt landscapes they travelled through must have been incredibly beautiful.

I think just after world war 2 was a better time than we are in living in now. People seemed more caring and less selfish, families lived closer together, crime was less prevalent. The NHS was introduced. Streets were not full of litter, I could go on!!!

The early 20th century to compare the childhood lives of my grandparents with those my grandchildren live now
The early 20th century, to see how my grandparents lived in their childhood and compare it to how my own grandchildren – their great great grandchildren- are living now. So much has changed in a relatively short time
I’ve always thought 18th venture Edinburgh would be a great era to be transported to. I love books set around this time. Recognisably Edinburgh yet still very different.
I’d like to be around when WW2 was ending. My parents told me of the joy that everyone had and all the celebrations that it was finally over.
I would love to be transported back to Colonial times (sorry!) in the Far East! When I was travelling throughout India, Burma, Sri Lanka etc in the early 80s, I had such an affinity with the buildings from those times, & I enjoy novels set in former British Colonial times, too!
Not so long ago but the Roaring Twenties would be so appealing to have lived through. Finding out how the country slowly recovered from World War One,
how the economy was on the up with new inventions & the growth of everything in general.
The fashions were also very stylish.
I’d love to be around in the 1550’s with Mary Queen of Scots. However I don’t think I’d cope with the smell.
Would love go back to Elizabethan times and be a lady in court to see Queen Elizabeth I in the flesh – just discovered she was born on 7th Sept my birthday – we could be twins years apart

I would choose to be teleported to America in the 1950s. I adore the fashions of that era and I’d love to visit an authentic American diner complete with juke box. The highlight of my trip would be to see Elvis live in concert!
