Gothic, horror suspense set on a “God-Forgotten” island off SCOTLAND
GIVEAWAY! – 3 copies of “Unscripted” by Claire Handscombe
30th August 2020
GIVEAWAY – we are delighted to offer 3 copies of Unscripted by Claire Handscombe, a great romance novel set in Cambridge, London and Pasadena. Worldwide entry.
Nobody is a bigger fan of actor Thomas Cassidy than Libby is. Nobody. That’s why she’s totally going to marry him.
She is going to write a novel, name the main character after Thom, and find a way to get it to him. Intrigued and flattered, he will read it, fall in love with her prose, write to her and ask to turn it into a movie. She will pretend to think about it for a week or so, then say, sure, but can I work on it with you? Their eyes will meet over the script, and fade to black. It is a fail-proof plan.
Except for the fact that he is a Hollywood star – not A list, perhaps not B list, but certainly C+ – and she is, well, not. Except for the fact that he lives in America. Except, too, for the teeny tiny age gap. Not even twenty years! Totally overcomable. All of the obstacles are totally overcomable. It’s all about determination.
“This is a well-written, easy read with a lovely story that sweeps you along from the viewpoint of different characters..” (amazon review)
“She writes with beautiful prose and as she shifts from the UK to the USA she takes the reader with her..” (Maria Catalina Egan)

Anywhere secluded away from the rest of the world. Maybe a tiny windswept cottage on the Moors?
Any Greek island out of season
A small village in the south of France or a cottage in the woods in the UK in the world with a wood burning fire and my love.
Tigaki, Kos the first holiday I had with the OH, I remember the beautiful sunsets and just enjoying being together. Since then our holidays have been more about adventure than romance.
Rome has always seemed such a romantic city.
For me it would be Venice in Italy or Paris or even Norway
My husband and I love to chill in Dunster, Somerset.
Hello, I think my ideal romantic place is the beach on the North East coast of England. It is just so beautiful, I really love it. Thank you for the chance to win.
For me it would be Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. Relax in the hot springs by day then gazing at the Aurora Borealis at night.
Lake Como, Italy
Unscripted by Claire Handscombe. Romance and travel, what is not to like.
My most romantic place would be Ullswater in the Lake District. The first holiday with my husband. Camped in a layby in a 10foot caravan with now husband and his Great Dane. We have been married for 43 years by the way. It worked!!!
I would choose Paris.
There is something romantic about time being compressed, so I’m going to go for a cross-country train trip across Russia where both parties are disembarking and separating at the end of the line.
Paris or anywhere in Greece
We spent our honeymoon in Gozo so to me that will always my romantic place x
