GIVEAWAY – 5 copies of Swallowtail Summer by Erica James, set in the Norfolk Broads
30th June 2019
In our giveaway this week we have 5 copies of Swallowtail Summer by Erica James, set in the Norfolk Broads

Swallowtail Summer by Erica James:
Linston End on the Norfolk Broads has been the holiday home to three families for many years. The memories of their time there are ingrained in their hearts: picnics on the river, gin and tonics in the pavilion at dusk, hours spent seeking out the local swallowtail butterflies. Everyone together.
But widower Alastair has been faced with a few of life’s surprises recently. Now, he is about to shock his circle of friends with the decisions he has made – and the changes it will mean for them all. For some, it feels like the end. For others, it might just be the beginning . . .
It’s a great read and we have 5 copies up for grabs! All you need to do is to leave a comment below telling us what your holiday plans are this year (and if you are staying at home, what are you looking forward to doing) by midnight UK time on Saturday, 13th July. We want to get in the holiday mood!!!
This giveaway is UK ONLY

I’m off to Halkidiki in Greece for two whole weeks of relaxing & reading! :0)
I am staying at home in Edinburgh so that I can review in the festivals, then recovering with a trip to Islay for the wonderful jazz festival in September. My best memory of a childhood holiday was a visit to Brownsea Island – I had never seen so many shells. Islands are always special.
I had a wonderful trip of a lifetime, earlier this year, to visit my son who lives in China. But as a Norfolk girl, my annual trip to Norwich is always very special. Seeing dear school friends and revisiting places filled with so many happy childhood memories. I would love to read Erica’s new book.
I’ve had a gorgeous few days in Wales in a delightful cottage on a girls holiday with my mom and daughter. We were new to Burry port but loved the large beaches for dog walking and it helped to confirm my new found love for Wales. I choose the peace of no motorways, to drive over the Brecon Beacons and we saw our first wild ponies. That was so special, for mom’s first holiday, since my dad died last year. The three generations holiday was not always easy but I shall always remember it, and the laughter over lots of wine.
Looking forward to some lazy days in La Cala de Mijas, Spain catching up on reading. Spend some time in whitewashed villages with terracotta rooftops and watch the glorious sunsets over the Mediterranean.
It would be great to take Erica James’s Swallowtail Summer with me for a relaxing read.
Hi! We won’t be going away this year but, as it is our first year living by the sea, we’re looking forward to going to the beach and eating fish and chips!
We’ve already had our holiday, a lovely trip to Dorset. It was our first rain free holiday for years!
Staying at home this year but could escape to Norfolk in my mind with this book.
This next weekend July 13th will be my big birthday so we will be breaking out the barbecue, putting up the bunting and blasting out the music, a great start to the Summer holiday. The grandchildren don’t know but I have organised for all of them plus parents and me to go off for a stay at Disneyland Paris during the school holiday which should be heaps of fun. This year is fun year before I return to my serious solo travelling next year.
Unfortunately due to health problems I won’t be going on holiday this year but will stay in sunny Whitley Bay. I have family in Norfolk and every summer we used to go down to stay and always took a boat out on the Norfolk Broads. These are some of my best memories from childhood and myself and my cousins still talk about it when we get together
We are staying at home thus year Glamping in Devon very excited!
Looking to have a couple of days in Somerset and Norwich seeing family. Already had a big holiday in April as went to Memphis.
Staying home and hoping for great weather!
Visited Devon and Somerset earlier in the year. Going to Pembrokeshire later in the year.

My husband and I are going to Cornwall in September. We absolutely love that part of this wonderful country. Beautiful beaches, fresh clean air and total relaxation. Heaven.
No holiday plans at the moment. Need things doing in the house. A new Erica James book would please me as I love her books.
No getting-away-on-holiday plans this year, with a frail elderly husband to care for, & two adorable grandchildren who I mind part-time while Mum & Dad work. A G&T and a good book in our pretty garden will happily be my lot.
We have already been away to the New Forest and Exmoor. We also have a trip to the Isle if Wight planned
We spent a week in New York and San Francisco back in March for our 10th wedding anniversary. We also have a glorious week in the Peak District to look forward to later this year
I am taking my wife and daughter to their home country, Philippines, to get them bonding with existing family members, speak their language, swim and fish in the sea.
Myself, husband and my sister are going for a week’s all-inclusive holiday in Majorca in October. It’s our first holiday since 2006, and we are SO looking forward to it!! Sun, Sea, and some fab reading to take with us!!

Off to Barmouth in Wales in September. Looking forward to a nice peaceful time with a good book.Swallowtail Summer would be ideal to take with me.
I will be staying at home – hopefully, if the sun stays, I will sit and read and view all the lovely vegetables growing!
I’m going on a cruise around the Mediterranean, so a copy of swallowtail summer would be most welcome thank you.
I’m looking forward to travelling to Carcassone and re reading the fabulous book Labyrinth by Kate Mosse.
So much to look forward to!
No plans yet, but thinking of Paris in the autumn ☺
I am going to wales in october with one of my daughters and one of my grandsons.
I was planning a river cruise but as I have had my garden landscaped, at considerable expense, it has been put on hold until next year, However all the family including my 7 year old great grandson are renting an air B and B in Builth Wells in August. It is 6 years since we all holidayed together so it will be interesting to see how we all get on! My grandaughter’s idea of getting up early is 11 am and I understand the little boy gets up at 7 am!
Off to Center Parcs with the family in September – will need a good book to read… in the hot tub!!! Xx
Would love a copy please.
I’ll be staying home doing loads of reading, tending to the garden (major overhaul this year), and following Wimbledon, Cricket World Cup and the Women’s Ashes.
For the 4th I think me and the kids will just stay home and bbq, swim and shoot off our own fireworks.
As I cannot remember the last time I had a holiday anywhere apart from at home, I will share my mum’s amusing story about a holiday on the Norfolk Broads during the heatwave Summer of 1976 when she was 6 months pregnant with my sister and the water level was too low to move anywhere!
Scrumptious SUMMER READ here’s HOPING im lucky Thankyou
Visiting family in France for a week this year. And some days out with the kids around the UK. Apart from that I will be busy at work also.
I have booked to take my two children, their other halves and three grandchildren over to Disneyland Paris for a holiday that we can all be together and enjoy. I usually travel solo so this is going to be one fun packed, and I suspect very noisy holiday and I can’t wait.
Just back from Greece so rest of holiday will be a staycation.
I don’t have any plans as yet, being retired means I don’t have to travel in the school holidays any more (yay!)
I’m torn between Croatia, which I love & which I’ve visited 6 times now & a new country, as there are so many places I haven’t been yet!
My holiday plans are staying home and hosting my friends visiting from Germany!
We are having a relaxing week in Marazion, Cornwall next month with some family members who are visiting from Australia. Cream teas and relaxation, bliss x
No plans really just walks, picnics, shows at home on the Isle of Wight. Sadly we don’t really get a holiday as we are self employed
