    C, herbs! Oh, really all of the choices, because I enjoyed each of the books! I love the herbs for cooking the luscious meals. The imagery of Patricia’s books made me want to go visit there, and experience the wonders of Provence!

    Well actually the first thing I think of is rosé wine! But out of the choices, it has to be c) Herbes de Provence, because whenever I visit the region I bring some home to use in my cooking, it seems to make the holiday last longer. Plus I’ve never been there at lavender or sunflower time!

      It’s really hard to pick just one. You have to think also of the villages and the food as well as the lavender, sunflowers and herbs. They’re all fantastic.

    I have to say the lavender fields. I’ve only seen the ones in
    Washington State, but they were awesome. I always have lavender sessential oil on hand. So soothing and relaxing and lavender sachets in my drawers too.

    Although one thinks of lavender, I actually believe “ herbes de Provence “ are more evocative- and last longer. I always buy some during a visit to France to bring home to north of England so in winter months on a cold grey day, I can cook a herb omelette and think sun, sunflowers and lavender

    I think of b) sunflower fields,
    but also I remember the books about Provence by Peter Mayle.
    Lavender Fields are synonymous to a place near Chichester. All the locals visit Lordington Lavender Fields.

    A) Lavender fields. I first saw them when I was 19 and went on a trip to France with my first husband, We went in an old Ford van and camped in a tiny tent.. I seem to remember that we took on a £30 overdraft to fund the trip!
