What a rollercoaster !

  • Book: DISSENT
  • Location: Heredfordshire, Welsh Borders
  • Author: Françoise Montgomery

Review Author: Montgomery

So you thought Herefordshire and the Welsh borders were all about apples and gently flowing rivers ! Read DISSENT and think again.
DISSENT – so called as a nod to the Act of Toleration 1688 giving chapels and ‘break away’ churches the right to worship in their own way (become dissenters)and to the dissent going on within the community and within the families of the story.
DISSENT is a fast read with very little padding – you get carried along with the turbulent story as Jan, a city woman, tries to find her place within a deeply entrenched rural community. Great characters too.
