If you like to read crime/psychological thrillers packed full of mysteries, with sympathetic characters you’re drawn to, set in some truly creepy locations, then Widow’s Island is a must-read for you. A grieving young widow and her daughter move to a remote island off Seattle to start a new life. The central character, Stephanie Miller, takes with her a guilty secret. As soon as they arrive on what at first appears to be an idyllic island, things start taking a sinister turn. Internet trolls attack her and her daughter on social media and soon the threats become physical. When someone very close to them is murdered, they soon fear for their lives. This is when the location of Widow’s Island really adds to the drama and suspense: dark forests, lonely shores. There is only one way on and off the island and that is via the ferry. But when a storm hits, the ferry service stops. Isolated and vulnerable, how will Stephanie save herself and her daughter from a serial killer? There is a nail biting climax.
