For the second year running, we are delighted to offer a TripFiction ADVENT CALENDAR GIVEAWAY package.

24 presents with a reading* and travel theme (*includes chocolate to add to the reading experience 😉) will be sent to the winner. We see a lot of books during the year and we love to share some of our top reads with you! All individually wrapped, making for a surprise for each day. Isn’t that a great way to kick off Christmas?

HOW TO ENTER
  1. You need to be a member of TripFiction. Simply go to www.tripfiction.com and scroll down to the JOIN NOW tab. And we do check!
  2. Christmas 2021 – what present would delight and thrill you this year? Tell us, in the COMMENTS below, where ideally you would like to visit.

Enter by midnight, 20th November 2021 and the the winner will be chosen at random. Open UK only (because of postage costs and customs issues from the UK).

    I do not need anything but my dream would be to go to Vietnam and see my grandchildren which means i get to meet my new Granddaughter who was born during lockdown last year. We hope to get there next year when they reopen the boarders.

    I would love a hooded blanket as I hate being cold. It would be fabulous to winter abroad in sunny climes eg the Canary Islands or perhaps Cape Verde which I hear is an idyllic relaxing getaway where I could catch up on my book reading.

    A copy of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights, as to my shame I haven’t read it yet and it would also inspire me to book a trip to Haworth and the North Yorkshire Moors. During the first period of lockdown I walked around our Breakfast Room table, just as the Brontes walked around theirs.

    No gift can measure up to having my elderly mum at our house for Christmas lunch! It was a door stop delivery for her last Christmas and living alone with cancer she’ll be thrilled to spend with her nearest and dearest! Would love to visit Grand Canyon

    I would love to be given a trip to Cornwall this year as travel to other countries is still very tricky and restricted! I would love to stay near the sea and go for long walks in the sea breeze and enjoy some cosy dinners with my husband!

    I would like cookery books focused on food from Vietnam, Japan or Taiwan. All countries with delicious food only really found there or in top end authentic restaurants here. I’d love to be able to recreate a whole meal to transport my tastebuds back an$ to delight my friends.

    I’ve given a similar book ‘advent calendar’ to my two boys the last few years. Takes a lot of time and thought to do so, so receiving one as a present myself would be fairly high on my wishlist 🙂

    Destination-wise, I’d love to re-visit Tokyo, where I lived/worked 20 years ago, and see how it’s changed, plus watch it blow the kids’ minds!

    I have a memory problem because of epilepsy and huge swathes of my memories have gone missing, including lots of holidays. I’d love to retun to any of the places that I’ve been but can’t remember and only know I’ve been because I see the photos. So Dubai, Australia, diving on the great barrier reef, Universal Studios…oh there’s a whole list of them.

    I would like to take my daughter abroad. We’d go to visit friends in Canada. Partly as its an amazing place. But also as my daughter has a special diet as she has pku but so do our friends son. So would make such a big trip a bit easier!

    Getting a permanent contracted job with lots of hours would be the best present, since I’ve only ever worked zero hour roles and having faced stigmas for being disabled, I would like to try and prove that I can be a successful person.

    Travel-wise, I would go to Australia (Victoria state) to meet my online friend of four years for the first time. We would definitely go on a bookshop crawl!

    Would have loved just one more Christmas break in Disney World, Florida. It really is ‘the happiest place on earth’, especially during the holiday season. As hubbie is still classed as ‘vulnerable’ though, we aren’t going to risk a long haul flight just yet!

    My perfect present would be to have my own personal chef take care of Christmas dinner in my own home (including all the clearing up too!) 🙂

    You had a great idea for a Christmas giveaway, I might even prefer this to the chef! 🙂

    I’d love to go to Norway with my family. Beautiful scenery and a sense of calm. Maybe a cruise so plenty of time to read.
    I’ve asked for bath mats for Christmas – it’s what we need . But wouldn’t say know if a kid of book tokens turned up under the tree.
