Place. I can’t wait to travel to Turkey again as we used to go once a year. I miss the sunshine and beaches.
I do not need anything but my dream would be to go to Vietnam and see my grandchildren which means i get to meet my new Granddaughter who was born during lockdown last year. We hope to get there next year when they reopen the boarders.
I’d love a bit of sunshine so it would be nice to spend a tropical Christmas somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere like South Africa.
I would love a hooded blanket as I hate being cold. It would be fabulous to winter abroad in sunny climes eg the Canary Islands or perhaps Cape Verde which I hear is an idyllic relaxing getaway where I could catch up on my book reading.
A copy of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights, as to my shame I haven’t read it yet and it would also inspire me to book a trip to Haworth and the North Yorkshire Moors. During the first period of lockdown I walked around our Breakfast Room table, just as the Brontes walked around theirs.

I’d like a spice rack, giving me the perfect reason to head straight to Istanbul market in search of new favours and seasonings. I’ve missed the evocative sights and scents of this amazing city so much over the past two years.

We are supposed to be going to Mauritius for Christmas, my entire family of 22, to celebrate my mums covid-postponed 75th birthday and my parent’s golden wedding anniversary, which should have seen them on a cruise, but again, Covid… We have our fingers crossed that we’ll all make it, coming from three different countries, and that would be enough of a thrilling present for me.
