Crime thriller set in NORTH NORWAY
Your chance to win in our Paris themed competition…
21st February 2017
First prize in our Paris themed competition is a copy of Paris for One by Jojo Moyes. The book beautifully captures the atmosphere and feel of the French capital… Also, in your prize pack will be an Eiffel Tower pendant and chain (neither, we’re afraid, in real gold!) plus an Ooh La La black ball point pen with stylus.
To enter the competition all you have to do is write in the Comments Box below the one thing you would like to do in Paris now that the Northern Hemisphere spring is approaching. The more romantic the better!
The competition closes at midnight UK time on Monday 27th February and the winner will be the first name out of the hat on Tuesday 28th February.
The very best of luck!

Congratulations to Susan E whose name was first out of the hat when we drew the prizewinner earlier today.
Well done Susan!
Would love to visit the museums and enjoy the atmosphere of the cafes, parks, and historic sites.
This is going to sound a bit odd but I would love us to wander hand in hand in the cemetery. I read that Abelard and Heloise are buried together in Pere Lachaise – theirs is one romantic yet tragic story – followed by a bottle of red at a pavement cafe with Edith Piaf playing softly in the background.
Turn love notes into paper boats and sail then down the Seine.
I have visited Paris with my husband who was a French teacher. I would love to be able to go back and revisit the Louvre, the Musee d’Orcay and explore Montmartre. i would also try and find the Lebanese restaurant where we ate delicious mezze in a crowded room full of partying locals. My husband is not well enough to travel now but I might try and take my grand daughter one day.
I am dreaming of the hidden, abandoned places of Paris, secret locations where a Lemaitre novel might be set. I imagine wandering along the petit ceinture in the 13th arrondissement taking photos of overgrown empty train tracks.
I would love to take my Husband to Paris as I have been many times.
I would take him to the Tuilleries gardens on a cold crisp day and sit on a bench eating french pastries from the little cafe, snuggled up together and watching the world go by.
I would love to wander around the left bank, have a leisurely drink while watching the world go by, then dine in a little bistro.
Get a bag of hot roasted chestnuts from under the Eiffel Tower then go to the top and share them with someone special while looking out at the lights of the city!
Having a picnic on the Champ de Mars with a book on the man of my dreams.
I would like to visit every bookshop and purchase at least one book then find a park where I can enjoy a picnic with a friend or family member
I would like to see the Eiffel Tower at night
My hubby and I would walk from the Bastille along the path by the seine to have a picnic out on the grass at the tour de effilé fabulous
A romantic wine date under the Eiffel tower on a starry night, with spring in the air.
I would love to stroll the streets and then stop at one of the side walk cafes to people watch.
A perfect romantic day: have breakfast on our balcony, wander through the neighborhoods and gardens of the left bank, lunch at a cafe along the Seine, a boat ride for two, and dinner on top of the Eiffel Tower.
Most romantic would be to see Eiffel Tower at night.
I would love to go to Paris. This is one of my destinations on my bucket list.
I love Paris and I would love to o back with my husband for a romantic weekend and spend a couple of hours browsing the book at Shakespeare and Co, bookshop
To wander with my husband up the steep and cobbled streets of the Montmartre towards the Sacre-Coeur reaching the hill in time not only to watch the sunset but to enjoy the quieter less touristy time at the Basilica. We would then find a bistro to have a dinner for two.
Just sitting on a bench with the one I love, doing nothing but watching the world go by with a glass of wine. Perfect.
I would like to go to the Eiffel Tower and Arch de Triumph at night and on the boat cruise. Thanks for the great giveaway
A walk through Luxembourg Gardens to see what is blooming would be fantastic.
For me it would have to be a walk along the bank of the Seine, from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tour, hand in hand with my husband, of course. I’d then leave him sipping a beer in a cafe while I got lost in Shakespeare and Co bookshop.
I would love to see the Eiffel tower at night with the one I love.
Would love to go on a boat trip on the Seine, wining and dining along the way.
